The three Icons I chose are, Madonna, Whitney Houston, and Google. These are three icons that I am familiar with and know fairly well. I used to listen to Madonna and Whitney while I was growing up. I have become a great believer in Google. It can help with everything.
I chose Madonna and Whitney because they are both very strong women who worked very hard to get where they are today. They helped revolutionize the music industry. I also chose Google because everyone uses Google. When in doubt Google it out.
These icons mean strength, courage and wisdom. With Madonna and Whitney, you seen them rise to the top and then fall but then they rose to the top again. No matter what happened they kept fighting. Google is pure knowledge. If you cant find it or don't know what it is just Google it and you will find the answer.
I like the fact that the very act of online searching has become known as "googling" no matter what search engine you are using.
ReplyDeleteWhen Madonna first hit the charts i loved singing and dancing to her music. Most critics said she could not sing. She has proven herself an icon in music and shock....
ReplyDeleteI would have never thought of google as an icon. However, reading what it means to you helps me understand. I think an icon, just like beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. I like Whitney and Madonna they are legends. Google, you are absolutely right, there will never be anything close ever (my opinion)
ReplyDeleteI agree it is in the eyes of the beholder. I think its great that you can now see it as an Icon. There will never be another google just as there will never be another Whitney.
